I was out at Prince Charles Park playing with my kids when I noticed a group of ladies running around exercising and all these kids in matching t-shirts.
I approached a couple ladies that were doing tricep dips on each others knees and asked them about it. Between heavy breaths, they explained that they were part of an amazing group where you could work out in the outdoors while your kids were watched and got to play too.
She told me how supportive everyone is and that it doesn’t matter your fitness level; the coach will work with everyone.
I was inspired and looked up online that night about the warrior women; sharing my findings with a dear friend and convinced her that we should do this together!
8 months later, I’m still a part of this community and have realized it’s a part of my life that has become a necessity. It is a time for me.
The women here are so kind and inspiring; always pushing each other to do their best, cheering each other on, and celebrating their victories.
My original goal when I joined was to lose the baby belly that was bringing me down. I am proud to say that I have lost over 20 lbs and several inches; and though I’ve reached my original goal, I have found that I want to do so much more now.
I’ve been introduced to much more than simply a weight loss regime. I’m learning more about nutrition and have been implementing meditation into my daily routine. I miss my workout if I don’t get to do it and look forward to the next one. Something I’ve never felt before. Over this time, I’ve grown into a happier and calmer person. Setting aside a part of the day that is for me has been more beneficial than I ever realized was necessary.
I feel as though I still have so much I want to learn but that I’m in exactly the right place to do that. I can’t thank Sabrina and her team along with all the women enough for all the motivation and happiness that you bring. From the bottom of my heart; thank you!
