I have always been a huge believer that we can help, inspire and be the motivation for others who need to get started on a healthier path. Many of my clients come to class to relieve stress or have some time alone or of course to become more physically fit. Most do not realize that their actions have a ripple effect that can be spread far through their friends, families and communities.
The first steps to fitness can be challenging, and for some really frightening, which is why many individuals choose to stay stuck in unhealthy patterns. I encourage all of my clients to SHARE their stories with everyone they know & invite them along to experience the positive effects they have gained from becoming more active. Sometimes it might feel weird to share these feelings or emotions but it is such a gift that should be given out and passed along.
I have had other clients who have thanked me for influencing their children to become more active. What they sometimes don't realize is that it is their actions that the kids are copying! Some of the kids play boot camp at home and take turns being me, that just melts my heart. When I ask them why they like to come to class most say they want to be strong like MOM. To influence our kids at such a young age is also a gift that can be shared during play dates and family trips.
There are so many opportunities to SHARE the gift of your healthy lifestyle with others. Never miss out on a chance to influence POSITIVE CHANGE in others, it will give you a sense of PRIDE and those that are BLESSED to accept this gift will be forever GRATEFUL!
