These are three things that came from my mouth last week.
How can I eat clean on a budget? How will I find the time to cook and prep these clean meals? How will I make this work for me and my family?
These are also things that I said last week as well.
And guess what?.......I made it happen! I am not 100% eating clean but I am making it fit my life. I took the steps to try something new. I printed the menu and meal plans from the challenge, I prepped foods when I could by making time for it and as far as tired goes......it's getting easier. I don't blow the budget because I am adapting slowly. I didn't go buy all the groceries at once and am slowly adding new things from the menu to my grocery list. I am not buying things that I know I don't like and I am trying new things that I would never have thought would be good. I incorporate some of the things I am eating into the family meal and I have come to terms with the fact that I just sometimes have to make more than one thing. (You can't force kids to eat something they don't like.....that just leads to disappointment. So long as they TRY it, that works for me)
So after the first week of the "I can't do that" and the "how will that even work," I have embraced the "I will" and the "just do it!" Let me tell you that I am loving this new outlook and loving how I feel. I am taking Sunday nights for personal reflection and when I look back on this week I see nothing but success.
Success does not need to come in leaps and bounds. Success can come with baby steps and for me it does not have to be "all or nothing!" I have felt my clothes fit better, the scale numbers drop and my heart happier.
Cheers to clean eating to take another step towards a heart healthy lifestyle ❤️
